More information
Steam with a temperature of around 150° C is called “wet steam”. Steam is called dry steam when it no longer contains any liquid water droplets. The temperature is above 170 to 190° C. The higher the pressure and temperature of the steam, the drier it is. Temperatures above 300° C are called “hot steam”.
Conventional steam cleaners work with steam that is over 100 degrees hot and with low pressure. The combination of hot steam and low water pressure means that steam cleaners clean intensively, but they expose the material to a lot of moisture. Depending on the object, this can result in long drying times, and there is a risk of mold formation and moisture damage.
FRANK dry steam cleaners work with up to 8 bar operating pressure and have a special nozzle that leaves less than 5 percent residual moisture in the material being cleaned. This means that even mattresses are completely dry and usable again shortly after the cleaning process. With our dry steam cleaners you can also clean effortlessly, disinfect and completely remove all odors.
We attach great importance to sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies. Based on two different methods, our dry steam cleaners work either according to the boiler or the instantaneous water heater principle.
With boiler technology, the water is permanently heated to over 100 degrees. Once the working pressure of the steam is reached, it can be used for cleaning in a controlled manner. The energy requirement is higher here because the water must be permanently kept at a temperature of over 100 degrees.
With the instantaneous water heater technology, energy is only required when the device is being used. When the spray gun is operated, the cold water is passed through the instantaneous water heater, heated to over 100 degrees and immediately used as steam for cleaning. The advantage of this technology is the environmentally friendly and resource-saving use of energy. In addition, you have a permanent working pressure with finely adjustable steam quality at your disposal.
Our dry steam cleaners have no abrasive effect and are therefore not suitable for applications where residues are to be mechanically removed from a surface using water pressure. For these applications, we offer FRANK high-pressure cleaners for industry.
You should also check all heat-sensitive objects to see whether they are suitable for cleaning with steam at temperatures over 100 degrees. This includes, for example, painted surfaces, thin plastics or sensitive materials such as silk or velour
The prices of our dry steam cleaners start at 1,500 euros and are influenced by the following factors:
- Heating power
3 kW to 144 kW possible - Heating system
230 volt or 400 volt electrically heated or gas/oil heated - Operation
Manual or PLC control - Area of application
Mobile or stationary - Execution
Boiler or instantaneous water heater technology - Pressure and temperature performance
Up to 180 bar high pressure and 185 degrees steam temperature possible
